Marcus McGhee, a valued member of our electrical industry family, passed away following a medical emergency on June 15, 2026.
Marcus’s connection with ETI began as an apprentice in the Sound Program, where he distinguished himself as a leader among his peers. In 2021, he served as Student Council President and was recognized as the Outstanding Sound Graduate of his class.
After graduation, Marcus continued to serve the apprenticeship community through his work at ETI. He spent two years as Outreach Coordinator, helping introduce prospective apprentices to careers in the electrical industry and supporting the next generation of workers entering the trade. In 2024, he transitioned into the role of Curriculum Developer, where he helped shape the educational experience of apprentices throughout our programs.
Marcus’s journey from apprentice to staff member reflected his commitment to our industry, our training programs, and the people they serve. His contributions touched apprentices, instructors, contractors, members, and coworkers throughout our community, and his impact will continue to be felt for years to come.
We extend our prayers and support to Marcus’s family, friends, and loved ones.
As details become available regarding memorial arrangements, celebrations of life, and ways to support Marcus’s family, we will share that information with the membership and industry.
Please join us in remembering Marcus and honoring the lasting impact he made on our apprenticeship community.
