IBEW 569 – TIME TO VOTE!

IBEW 569 Brothers and Sisters:

Tomorrow is Election Day, and there are many tight races that need your support to help win more work for IBEW 569 members, including:

  • Yes on 15 (closes corporate tax loopholes to raise money for schools that we build; protects homeowners and small businesses)
  • NO on Prop 22 (a deceptive measure that cheats workers of wages and benefits and rips off taxpayers)
  • Todd Gloria for Mayor of San Diego
  • Republican Joel Anderson and Democrat Terra Lawson-Remer for San Diego County Supervisor, and
  • Ryan Childers and Erik Ortega for Imperial Irrigation District

Always, our #1 priority in determining who receives the endorsement of IBEW 569 is whether the candidate or the initiative will result in more work for our members with higher wages, and a better quality of life.

Here are our IBEW 569 Endorsements for the November 3rd Election:

IBEW 569 Endorsements for SAN DIEGO COUNTY

IBEW 569 Endorsements for IMPERIAL COUNTY

IBEW 569 Endorsements for Members Outside of San Diego and Imperial Counties

Here are some tips on how to vote:

FIND YOUR POLLING PLACE

Polls will be open on Election Day – Tuesday, November 3rd – from 7:00am-8:00pm.  Click here to find your polling location: https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/polling-place/.

RETURN YOUR BALLOT TO A DROP-OFF LOCATION

The Registrar of Voters is operating 126 Mail Ballot Drop off locations around San Diego County. To find the closest drop-off location to you, click here. Residents of Imperial County click here.

You can return your ballot, or vote at the Registrar’s office, anytime until Monday, November 2nd between 8 AM and 5 PM.

MAIL YOUR BALLOT

If you haven’t had the opportunity to mail your ballot back to the Registrar of Voters, don’t delay. In California, as long as your ballot is postmarked by Election Day and reaches the Registrar within 17 days after the election, your vote will be counted. You can mail your ballot anytime on or before Election Day, November 3rd, but make a plan to fill out your ballot and drop it in the mail will ensure it is counted early. No postage required!

EXTENDED IN-PERSON VOTING AT SUPER-POLLING SITES

Some still prefer to vote in person. Your usual polling location may not be the case this year. There are fewer locations across the region to vote – but they are larger spaces that can keep in-person voting safer during COVID times. You can vote at your assigned polling location on Monday from 8 AM to 5 PM, or on Election Day Tuesday from 7 AM and 8 PM.

If you decide you want to vote in person, please be safe and prepare for long lines. All voters must wear face coverings. Masks and gloves available for all visitors.

And, here is the link to Track Your Ballot.

Thank you for taking action to VOTE and keep our union strong!
