Regretfully, we have canceled our IBEW 569 Union Meeting that was to occur on Wednesday, December 9th.
Per the new Stay Home Order and the status of San Diego County, gatherings that include more than 3 households are prohibited.
This decision was again made with permission of the IBEW International District Vice President to conform with extensions of state and federal safety guidelines and orders. Again, IBEW International President Lonnie Stephenson has issued a directive to all local unions to cautiously manage risk associated with the COVID-19 pandemic – including the need to cancel and/or postpone membership meetings and events. Our member’s health and safety remain our top priority.
After obtaining approval by the International Office, Local 569 is canceling our December membership meeting. We are taking this precaution in accordance with local, state, and federal health recommendations, guidelines, and ordinances that limit or curtail gatherings, which we believe is in the best interest of our members.
The situation continues to change daily and we will update you immediately if additional meetings will be canceled or rescheduled. All minutes from our Local 569 Executive Board meetings will be read and Treasurer’s Reports made available at the next scheduled meeting.
Our upcoming Drive Through Wonderland Experience is still scheduled to occur on Friday, December 11th in San Diego and Saturday, December 12th in Imperial – these events are “curbside pick-up” of your gifts from IBEW 569 and Santa. Please remember to WEAR A MASK and to STAY IN YOUR CAR.
