SUMMARY:IBEW 569 at LUNG FORCE Walk 2015
DESCRIPTION:Join IBEW 569 at LUNG FORCE Walk – San Diego 2015\nIBEW 569 is strengthening our partnership with the American Lung Association to fight lung disease.  We are especially concerned about our members and families in the Imperial Valley where cases of lung disease and asthma are increasing due to the drying-up of the Salton Sea. We are hopeful that we can work together to invest in Salton Sea solutions\, including geothermal energy. \nJoin IBEW 569 and walk with our team on Sunday\, November 8\, at the LUNG FORCE Walk at the Embarcadero Marina Park South! \nThis year’s exciting event includes LUNG FORCE passport travel\, family fun\, musical performances by DJ Sage\, a special appearance by the San Diego Padres Pad Squad and Friar\, Dr. Cleo of Molina Healthcare\, LUNG FORCE Hero meet & greet\, a visit by our FORCE\, the Star Wars characters\, and a wonderful 5K walk in the park along the water as well as a shorter LUNG FORCE loop option\, that will be marked by Turquoise pinwheels. Well behaved dogs on leash are welcome. \nWHEN: Sunday\, November 8\, 2015 \n7:00 am: Check-in\, festivities\, heroes and more…\n9:00 am: Walk starts \nWHERE: Embarcadero Marina Park South\n200 Marina Park Way\nSan Diego\, CA 92101 \nParking: Parking meters are 2 hour parking on Sunday so please use the parking lots on Imperial Ave. and 11th and a free shuttle will run from this lot to the Walk site beginning at 7:00 am. If this lot fills up we will also use the lot on Imperial and 12th. Volunteers will be on site to help. \nAlternative Transportation : We recommend taking MTS trolley or buses to the event. \nStep ONE: Click here to join our IBEW 569 Team  \nStep TWO: [Optional] Raise $100 for the American Lung Association and receive an ofificial Lung Force T-shirt \nStep THREE: Wear your light blue IBEW 569 t-shirt to the Lung Force Walk; and bring your friends and family along.
