Are you a veteran with an electrical background in the Armed Services?

Making a successful transition from the military into the civilian workforce can be difficult. To help with this challenge and put veterans to work in middle-class careers, IBEW Local 569 participates in the national Helmets to Hardhats program. This program is dedicated to helping National Guard, Reserve, retired and transitioning active-duty military members connect with quality career and training opportunities in one of America's most challenging and rewarding industries - construction.
If you are a veteran who worked in an electrical or electronic “Military Occupational Specialty” in the armed services, you may be eligible to participate. Helmets to Hardhats allows you to enter our IBEW 569 apprenticeship program through a special application process or be placed directly as a Journeyman Wireman, depending on your skill level.

"I was struggling to find my place in life after serving in Vietnam. Thankfully, I was referred to a pre-apprenticeship program which led me to IBEW Local 569. Today, I’m a happy father, a homeowner and a dedicated husband."
– Joseph Slayton
Journeyman Wireman
