Walk to Elect Juanita Salas to IID

Event Date:
Saturday, May 20, 2017 - 8:30am to 12:00pm

IBEW 569 Members:

We need your help to elect Juanita Salas to the Imperial Valley Irrigation District.

Juanita Salas is a third generation Imperial County resident with a proven record of advocating for the issues that matter to our working families.

As Senior Community Representative for the 51st Congressional District for almost a decade, Juanita was on the front lines fighting to improve delivery of government services to working families by protecting and advocating for our natural resources such as water and power.

Juanita has served on the Imperial Valley College Board of Trustees since 2013, where she helped to build a 3 megawatt solar field that saves the college $8 million dollars over 25 years.  Juanita has also served on the IV Environmental Justice Enforcement Taskforce, New River Committee and Salton Sea Restoration Project Taskforce.

Juanita will fight to protect our water rights, restore the Salton Sea, keep electrical bill rates low, and promote clean energy projects like solar and geothermal.  She will continue to be the voice for transparency, accountability and fiscal responsibility.

Help get Juanita Salas elected to the IID and join one of our Imperial Valley Precinct Walks!
