The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) has released a new vision for transportation called the “5 Big Moves”. The details are being finalized to form our new Regional Transportation Plan. A draft will be released this fall.

WHAT

We are working with our environmental, community and environmental justice partners in the Quality of Life coalition to support a transportation system that:

  • Expands and improves mass transit and provides safe biking and walking options.
  • Creates union jobs.
  • Provides convenient, affordable alternatives to driving to give people more transportation choices, reduce pollution and address climate change.
  • Prioritizes vulnerable and disadvantaged communities.
  • Abandons ineffective policies of the past; aligns funds to support this new vision.
